3 minute report

Madam President, fellow Toastmasters, and guests, as Vice President Membership, I am pleased to present the Membership Report for the 2025/2026 Toastmasters year.

We began the year on 1 July 2025 with 36 members. By the 30 September renewal, we had grown slightly to 37 members. At 1 January 2026, our membership had increased to 41 members, and by 15 March 2026 we reached a high point of 45 members.

As at 10 May 2026, our current membership stands at 40 members. Overall, compared with the start of the Toastmasters year, we have achieved a net growth of 4 members.

During the year, we welcomed a number of new and returning members who have contributed to the life and energy of the club.

Like most clubs, we also experienced some membership movement. This is normal, but it reminds us that membership is not only about bringing people in. It is about helping them feel welcomed, supported, and connected once they arrive.

Looking ahead, I recommend that the club continues to focus on three areas: consistent guest follow-up, encouraging existing members to stay active and renew, and giving new members early opportunities to speak, take roles, and feel part of the club.

In summary, we are ending the year in a healthy position, with 40 members, a net increase from the beginning of the year, and a strong foundation for the next committee to build on. Thank you.
